Ned and the Dirt (closing set)
Ned and the Dirt (closing set)
Los Angeles based Indie Rock band Ned and the Dirt is a band that you soak up. They don't wash over you, they happen to you. Listen to them; you'll want to dance, you'll want to cry, you'll want to start feeling everything more profoundly, and it's this warp speed through emotions that makes Ned and the Dirt special - it's the human experience. Ned's roots can be found in his preacher's tongue and garage-party swagger, but it's the Dirt's grit that gives their music a grip on your ears. Their live performances drip with honesty (and sweat) so go get up close if you're ready to feel, but don't worry, you won't be alone. You'll be flying through with everyone else.
The Morning Yells - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
The Morning Yells
The Morning Yells is a new Los Angeles-based band consisting of siblings Phil & Laura Stancil (guitar, vocals / bass, vocals), Trevor Smith (guitar, vocals), Jacob Boll (Keyboards, Guitar), and Curran McDowell (Drums, Percussion). Blending Heartland Rock, Americana, Power Pop, and Psychedelia with ease, the group has a knack for writing songs that are familiar and new at once. Their 2017 debut EP, Proper Wilted, received praise for its harmonies, songcraft, and nods to classic folk. Comparisons to Big Star, The War on Drugs, Tom Petty, and Fleetwood Mac are common mentions at their live show.
The Echo Exchange
The Echo Exchange
In the early stages, D.J. Moore (Guitar), Bod Robinson (Bass) and Wes Gibbens (Drums) emerged as a free-flowing jam band. Feeling their way through an eclectic ensemble of individual influences, backgrounds and inspirations, the trio emerged to create an ambient and somewhat dreamy sound of soulful, driving rock to become The Echo Exchange. Having established their sound, the band is now fronted by the delightfully powerful Tess Krukow and also includes the versatile and soulful influences of Josh Rau on Keys and Saxophone.
