Heavy Accent
Heavy Accent
Born unexpectedly among two old friends in Oakland several years ago, Heavy Accent was an accident. Since then the group has gone from a simple acoustic duo to a full rock outfit playing local shows in the Bay Area and beyond. Charlie Fitzgerald, a singer / songwriter from North Carolina, joined forces early with Tim Neagle, a drummer who helped record the first demo tracks with live drums and provided the group with a distinct rock direction from its acoustic roots. Chris Heppner soon joined on bass and keys, who brings both instrumental versatility and a musicianship that rounds out the band's sound. The trio is lucky to be surrounded by very talented local musician friends, and has recently had the good fortune to be joined by Noel Butta on keyboard/synth and John Baker on lead guitar. With a self-titled EP already released (available on their website) and lots of new material in the hopper, they are most excited about being able to share that music with others, particularly at their energetic live shows.
The Utmost Something
The Utmost Something
The UtmostSomething are a 3 and occasionally 4 or 5 piece band based in Oakland, CA and who have been playing all original maudlin indie rock all over the bay area for the past 7 years. They have a love of catchy tunes played with a fistful of angst and nostalgic introspection.
The Crucibles
The Crucibles
The Crucibles were formed in 2017 by coworkers Larkin Brown (vocals), Alex Rhee (lead guitar), Colin Probasco (rhythm guitar/keys), Ahsan Ashraf (bass guitar) and Alanna Iverson (drums). With artists ranging from Amy Winehouse and The Killers to Cream and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the band features a wide range of songs that are aimed to induce nostalgia for your formative years. While they may be a band of nerds, the Crucibles are sure to entertain you more than the random Tinder date you brought to the show.
