Sea Dramas
Sea Dramas
The music of Sea Dramas ranges from hazy folk with pensive melodies to 60’s-inspired, echo-laden pop that melds genres with swirling, dreamlike qualities.

Based in San Francisco, Sea Dramas began as a voyage in audio recording by Scott Pettersen (songwriting, vocals, guitar, banjo, etc). A rotating cast of musicians lent their talents to a substantial collection of demos and through this process a full fledged band has emerged — the potent ensemble of Ted Kamp (drums), Dwayne Anderson (electrical guitar), Marlaina Rae (vocals, keyboard), and John Mulhausen (bass).

Soft Wake, the band’s debut LP, was recorded September 2012 at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco, California with producer Patrick Brown and self-released in February 2013.
Balto
Balto
"Balto sound like the kind of band you’d want playing in the background as you cruise down the highway with a road soda clutched in your hand... [a] blend of Americana, gospel, alt-country, and a speckle of psych." " - What Youth

At 21, after a failed attempt to begin a journalism career in Moscow and an overwhelming heartbreak, Dan Sheron’s life collapsed. Without so much as saying goodbye to his friends or bothering to pack a bag, Dan took a train bound for Siberia and headed east with a child's guitar and journal that quickly filled with songs. At some point in those manic months, Balto was born, in a third-class train car, singing and drinking among strangers, somewhere east of Novosibirsk.

Over time, Balto transformed from a songwriting vehicle into a rock n roll band – performing a boozy, swaggering style of American music rooted at the intersection of Motown, Big Star, Plastic Ono Band-era Lennon, and Jackson Browne. Their interactive live performances have drawn comparisons to fiery indie rockers My Morning Jacket and Wilco, while Seattle-based curators Artist Home describe their latest LP Strangers (2017) as “a tangle of beautiful, messy emotions, wrapped up in a sound that’s warmly familiar yet brimming with soul and tiny details that are touched by magic.” They continue to describe Sheron as, “a roots-rock storyteller with the heart of an Edwardian poet—full of romance, sharp observation, knowing humor, and at least a slug or two of whiskey.” Songs from the new record have been featured in official playlists for Spotify, Google Play Music, Tidal, Apple Music, & Deezer, and the band toured steadily throughout 2017 into 2018, supporting acts such as Blind Pilot, the Current Swell, the Donkeys and Communist Daughter. In 2018, Balto moved from the Pacific Northwest to Los Angeles.
True Margrit
True Margrit
The bay area trio, True Margrit serves up a signature feast of sharp and sweet piano-driven art-pop vignettes. The band features piano-player-singer-songwriter, Margrit Eichler, bassist Gary Hobish, and drummer John Giambalvo. True Margrit has released 5 albums, and is currently finishing up work on their 6th, “Comforting the Castaways”. True Margrit has appeared up and down the west coast, in Tennessee & Texas (and in various states that don’t start with a T).

In his review of True Margrit’s album, “The Juggler’s Progress”, Alan Haber of Pure Pop Radio says: “…Eichler's highly literate songs roll like little 3D movies--music made for IMAX theaters, widescreen imaginations...and air pianists everywhere.”
