Woolsey
Woolsey
Woolsey is a 4 piece Indie Rock band based in Berkeley, CA. They implement driving guitar riffs with intricate harmonies, rhythmic syncopated drum patterns, and aggressive bass lines. With influences from classic rock to jazz and hip hop they try to get a little bit of something that everyone will love.
Supervague
Supervague
Hard-edged melodies meet rich vocal harmonies in Supervague's explicitly big sound. The San Francisco-based quartet has released two EPs, with a full-length album in the works. Might be rock, might be roll.
Warren Teagarden and The Good Grief
Warren Teagarden and The Good Grief
Warren Teagarden once had a dream in which he could not stop talking. He talked and talked and could not control himself. He tried to clench his jaw and close his mouth but it didn't work. He pressed both hands tightly over his lips but it didn't work. He punched himself in the face, bashed his head against the wall, and thew himself to the floor. But none of this worked. He was powerless to control the endless river of words streaming forth. The words he spoke were of purest truth and beauty and contained the wisdom of a thousand Gods. But his words flowed only to the empty darkness of space and were instantly gone forever in the void. Such is life, my friends. Such is life.
Justin Hambly & The Heavy Hand
Justin Hambly & The Heavy Hand
Justin Hambly & The Heavy Hand, based in Santa Cruz, CA, draw on the influences of rock, Americana, and alt-country to generate a sound that is at once powerful, intimate, and heartfelt. The Heavy Hand’s drummer Nathan Jones and bassist Eric Maurman maintain a steady groove, while Christian Heywood really ties it all together on guitar and keyboard. Guitarist and lead vocalist Justin Hambly also fuels the fire as principle songwriter.
