The Suborbitals
The Suborbitals
"I wouldn't think [The Suborbitals] ever get compared to anyone else. It's a unique sound...and dark. It's really wonderful." - Sleepy John Sandidge, KPIG, 03/31/13

Described as "literary and analgesic," the Monterey Bay quartet is known for its live shows, most notably a yearlong run at the defunct Monterey Live. The Suborbitals sound blends inflections of jazz, punk, surf and indie and is driven by an incomparable rhythm section, wild flourishes of saxophone and "otherworldly lyrics." Don't miss these true Northern California originals. For more, visit www.facebook.com/thesuborbitals
El Gato Dice
El Gato Dice
SF Indie/AAA trio along the likes of old REM or Death Cab. Critically acclaimed debut "Uno" hit in 2010 with standout tracks "Hangman Don't Falter" and "Hold Still." Rooted in Cleveland, NC, and Turkey - it's everything you'd expect from that combo. "Dos" was released in May 2015 to great reception. The shows are bigger , and the songs are dense and memorable. College radio all over is picking up on the seven minute adventurous instrumental "Insatiable", the Carolina-pop-ish "Trap", and the country alt-rock "Haymaker". Each song is a little different, and Dos is a good listen front-to-back. You be the judge- they're probably playing live near you in the Bay Area in 2016. The cat says check it out! You'll say- hey I like this!
