In May of 2010, Kat Downs and Mike Thompson teamed up to experiment with the combination of classical piano and rock drumming. Described as “The Dresden Dolls mixed with King Crimson and Fiona Apple”, their music also reflects evidence of Zeppelin, Beethoven, Rush and Rachmaninoff. Kat Downs’ ornate hands and hair flying matched with Mike Thompson’s percussive mastery makes this duo the consummate definition of a “dream-team”. No holds barred, this group produces addictive rock n' roll - with only two people and not one guitar in sight.

Touring almost non-stop since 2013, Sit Kitty Sit became known for consistently electrifying audiences with their energetically intense live performances, as well as developing a strong community among their faithful, almost cult-style following all across the United States. In 2015, the duo spread the love overseas for their first European tour spanning the Netherlands, Germany, France, and England, leaving thrilled audiences in their wake.

This year will also bring more national and international touring as well as the release of several new singles starting with “Blood & Bones” in February 2016 through Universal Music Group, and multiple full-production music videos. With the world at their fingertips, fans and critics alike are on the edge of their seats to see what artistic vision these crazy kids will come up with next.

Fans of honest Indie-rock Americana with guitar driven hooks and a touch of Texas, will love Lucas Young and the Wilderness.

I’ve been writing songs for eighteen years, I still remember the first time, where I was, details pertaining to my life, Whoa! Music is an amazing force, a time machine of sorts. I love playing and writing music; a new song fills my heart with hope. Hopes for change in myself, for a better future, a hope I’m doing my part in keeping the love light shining bright. I’ve played with a ton of amazing musicians but I usually play by myself, for your acoustic pleasure. I play American music; some have said that my songs are a blend of Urban Folk Americana with a touch of Texas. It’s really just rock n roll any way you slice it, if you ask me…
