Samantha Margret
Samantha Margret
Samantha Margret is a singer songwriter and San Francisco native. Raised on an eclectic mix of her mother’s Nanci Griffith and her father’s Eric Carmen, Samantha learned to love music as a multifaceted art form—one she was dying to be a part of. Her new EP, “Wandering I” is the result of Samantha's tumultuous journey away from and back to songwriting. The EP covers a variety of styles and sounds, unified by her signature vocals and piano. The EP will be released as one single a month for five months. Find out more about “Wandering I” at samanthamargret.com.
Shawn Byron
Shawn Byron
Shawn Byron is a regular at Bay Area bars, cafes, and musical haunts. Moonlighting as a rock and roll balladeer and drawing on the stylings of Greg Allman, Paul Simon, Sam Cooke and Bing Crosby, Shawn brings a sound made of equal parts fingerstyle folk and sultry sixties soul. And as you may have noticed, that’s a 12 string guitar with only six strings.
Mia Pixley
Mia Pixley
Austin, Texas native and Oakland transplant, Mia Pixley began playing cello due to a tragic violin shortage thirty years ago at the University of Texas at Austin Youth String Project. After many years of classical cello study, Mia's development and interests as a musician involve using her voice and cello together, drawing from soul, blues, folk, classical and percussive traditions.
