M Ross Perkins
M Ross Perkins
“… groovy… M. Ross Perkins may hail from Dayton, but his sound is distinctly influenced and sounds like it could have been crafted in Southern California in the '60s.” - PURE VOLUME

Dayton, OH native M Ross Perkins has been taping himself at home for well over a decade. But on his newest effort, he's truly hit his stride in crafting effortless California psych grooves seasoned with British invasion guitars - and all with an achingly tuneful voice recalling Nilsson & Lennon. Clever lyrics and atmosphere for days.

"the kind of good old-fashioned psychedelic-tinged rock & roll that the world could use right now." (High Times)

M Ross' unique songwriting has been described as "a potent cocktail consisting of thrilling ‘60s-inspired, songwriter-centric ear pleasers" (Dayton CityPaper).

Rock critic Don Thrasher says, "The delightfully anachronistic music is home recorded, but don't mistake this for a lo-fi collection of songs banged out quickly in a friend's rumpus room. The music is precise and orchestrated, and it's an impressive feat for a mostly one-man show."
Bad Wife
Bad Wife
In the lovely light of spring, 2015 the first glimmerings of Bad Wife were conceived when long-time college friends from UC Santa Barbara, Angel Ibarra (bass) and Nick Musni (guitarist/singer) reunited in the Bay Area. With the wide-eyed, virginal dreams of local acclaim in their hearts, they began writing furiously. However, it was not until the early summer of 2016 that they achieved their final form as the driving yet gentle drummer and experienced Bad Wife producer, Russ Arteaga, rounded out the beloved trio. Hailing out of Oakland, CA, Bad Wife carefully borrows the rhythms of beach rock, contrasting them with sounds that shift between heavier, noise-rock driven guitar lines and softer dream-pop, shoegaze melodies, bringing you a pleasurable listening experience of pensive introspective head-bobbing and subdued angst. Honing in on and recording their unique sound for months in the caves of Bird & Egg Studios (El Cerrito, CA) and M&M practice studios (Oakland), Bad Wife has just recently made their debut into the world. Playing their first show at The Night Light, Oakland this past February, they wooed crowds into intervals of euphoric, dream-like stupors and restrained aggression, leaving them wanting one more. Those desires will be revived, fulfilled and brought to life onto new ears on the night of July, 2nd at the Hotel Utah, San Francisco. Bad Wife just finished recording its debut EP and is currently gathering online funding to get it mastered and pressed for vinyl and we are excited to share and bring these sounds we love to you and the rest of the willing and unsuspecting world!
